Blue Giant Agave Palm (furcraea quicheensis mecate)

Simply Incredible! A magnificent Furcraea that forms a stocky trunk to seven feet tall which holds a massive eight foot wide blue ball of glaucous, agave-like leaves in an upright rosette form. Native to the South American highlands where it is found at altitudes of 7000 to 11000 ft. where it grows in pine and oak forests on volcanic soils. It prefers mild temperate climates and can take light to moderate freezes. Due to its high altitude origin it will succeed even in areas with very cool summers.
