Huachuca Mountain Agave (agave p. huachucensis)

Agave parryi var. huachucensis is native to southeastern Arizona and Sonora, Mexico where it grows in open oak and pine forest at elevations between 1500 and 2700 m (5000 and 9000 ft.). This form from Arizona, grows much larger than typical Agave parryi. It is very tolerant of drought conditions and can take severe freezes if kept very dry.
