Tilt-head Tree Aloe (aloe speciosa)

Handsome blue-green leaves have deep pink to light red serrated leaf margins atop a generally singe stem. Rosettes are almost always tilted to one direction above the heavily skirted stem. Large dense cylindrical flower heads begin with red immature buds that mature to green with white strips. When the flowers finally open the pinkish orange stamens and styles are reminiscent of underwater barnacles.
