Trunk Forming Caribbean Mezcal Agave (agave angustifolia)

A beautiful mid-sized agave that can reach three feet wide with many stiff narrowly lance-shaped leaves supported by a 3 to 4 foot trunk. Angustifolia is used to make mescal on the islands and throughout central America Each leaf has small whitish or bluish teeth on the margins and a stout sharp terminal spine that is tipped in red. This agave’s flower spike is as much as 12 feet tall with greenish-yellow flowers adorning the top half. Agave are a fantastic addition to any drought tolerant landscape or indoor succulent collection.
